The Seed, The Root, The Cut with Herb N’ Sound
Rooted in community care and growth, this vibrant, 3-part event series cultivates connections between land, culture, and self. From planting seeds with Lillie-Joyce Gardens in The Seed, to exploring holistic Black hair care in The Root with Master Gardener Tashanda Giles-Jones, to swapping house plant cuttings and vinyl gems in The Cut, each gathering celebrates the beauty of nurturing life—whether it grows in soil, on our heads, or through shared stories and sound.
Monthly at Sip & Sonder Inglewood for 3Q 2025.

about herb n’ sound
“Bridging the gap between communities of color and urban agriculture through music and wellness-based experiences.”
By understanding music as a catalyst for authentic community-building, Herb N’ Sound leverages this potential social impact-- introducing opportunities for service, education, and economic participation that directly impact community gardens and businesses focused on building local economic and food ecosystems. This in turn increases the familiarity and cultural significance of urban agricultural practices and the institutions that protect them.
